ICAR-NRRI Laboratories Achieve Prestigious NABL Accreditation for Chemical Testing
ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack, Odisha has received accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) under the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard for chemical testing. This accreditation is effective from December 24, 2024. This accreditation encompasses three key laboratories namely, Pesticide Residue Laboratory, Micronutrient and Heavy Metal Laboratory and Food Quality Laboratory covering 84 parameters under the Groups, Residues and Contaminants in Food and Agricultural Products (Pesticides and Heavy metals) & Food and Agricultural Products (Micronutrient and Food quality parameters) for rice and rice products. The ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack, is committed to provide the highest quality analysis conforming to international standards in the scope specified.
This milestone underscores ICAR-NRRI’s unwavering commitment to providing world-class analytical services that adhere to international quality standards. The NABL certification is a mark of excellence, assuring that the testing processes are robust, accurate, and reliable, helping to meet global regulatory standards. This accreditation significantly enhances the institute’s capability to support government agencies and the rice industry by ensuring that rice and rice products meet the highest quality and safety benchmarks. ICAR-NRRI plans to expand its NABL accreditation to cover additional parameters, further strengthening its role in meeting the regulatory requirements for rice market both nationally and globally.
