NRRI distributed Bioagents at Phulbani 

As a part of the BioBank project funded by RKVY, two important insect Bioagents such Trichogramma and Bracon were distributed to farmers at Bandasahi Village, Khandamal district in collaboration with TSP project. These bioagents are able manage important insect pests of rice, yellow stem borer and leaf folder of rice. Honourable IMC members of ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack, Shri. S. K. Panigrahi and Shri. A. Mishra appreciated the effort of NRRI in promoting biological control for managing insect pests in the Khandamal district as there are less pesticides used in the district. PI of RKVY BioBank project Dr. Basana Gowda G briefed about importance and application methodology of these bioagents. Dr. A. K. Nayak, Chairman, TSP; Dr. Sanjoy Saha, Nodal officer, TSP; Dr. S. K.
