Training Programme on Integrated Farming System (IFS) under RKVY Organized by KVK, Koderma
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Koderma, of ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack organized a Training Programme cum Kisan Gosthi on March 24, 2025, at its Jainagar campus under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) (EAP-348) to raise awareness about the Integrated Farming System (IFS) model. The event was graced by the Honorable Chairman of Jila Parishad, Koderma, Sri Ramdhan Yadav, as the chief guest, along with Shri Devnarayan Yadav as a special guest. Dr. A.K. Rai, Head of ICAR-KVK, Koderma welcomed the guests and highlighted the significance of the RKVY project. Dr. Chanchila Kumari delivered a lecture on nutritional gardening through IFS. Experts including Miss Nupur Choudhary (IPM in vegetable cultivation), Dr. Bhoopendra Singh (vegetable cultivation through IFS), Mr. Manish Kumar (rice-based IFS model), Mr. Vinay Kumar (fish farming-based IFS model), Mr. Debrup Ghos (site selection for IFS), and Mr. Rupesh Ranjan (agroforestry-based IFS model) provided valuable insights to farmers. The chief guest appreciated KVK’s efforts in promoting sustainable farming practices. The event saw the participation of 220 farmers and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Bhoopendra Singh, SMS, Horticulture.
