KVKs of NRRI at Cuttack and Koderma get ‘A’ Ranking from the NITI Aayog

The KrishiVigyanKendras (KVKs)functioning underICAR-National Rice Research Institute (NRRI)at districts of Cuttack, Odisha and Koderma, Jharkhand received ‘A’ Ranking from the NITI Aayog, Govt. of India. The KVKs received ‘A’ Ranking in Core Activities (summation of Mandated Activities + Effect/Impact/Outcome of Mandated Activities + Allied Activities)and Overall Ranking as reported by National Institute of Labour Economics Research and Development (NILERD), an autonomous Institution under the NITI Aayog.
The report conducted recently in 2018 evaluated 625 KVKs of India into four categories (A=76-100, B=51-75, C=26-50, D=0-25) based on their infrastructure, core activities (technology assessment, dissemination and training), impact of KVKs mandated activities along with allied activities and accolades in the last five years. The infra-structure, however needs a boost as KVK Koderma got ‘B’ ranking, whereas KVK Cuttack has received ‘C’ raking in the Infrastructure Category. The infra-structure being developed in the KVKs, particularly at KVK, Cuttack (see the photos) will certainly improve the ratings.
