Report of Webinar on 19th April, 2023 at ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack
The third meeting of G20 Education Working Group (G20 EWG) 2023 on the theme ‘Future of Work’ will be held in Bhubaneswar from the coming 27th to 29th of this month with the participation of delegates of G20 nations. In Odisha, several events and activities marked the day as part of the G20 Education Working Group Meeting under the ‘Jan Bhagidari’ programme. Our institute is one of the Stand Alone (SI) institute among 25 institutes in Odisha state. In this context the institute is organizing different activities from 1-22 April, 2023. Under the Jan Bhagidari programme of third G20 Education Working Group Meeting, ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack organized a webinar on “Skilling for Doubling Farmers Income”, which was delivered by Dr. A.K. Mohanty, Director, ATARI, Umiam, Meghalaya on 19 April 2023.
In the deliberations, Dr. Mohanty dwelled on status of Indian Agriculture. The key take away points from the webinar include skilling for improvement in productivity and non-farm activities.
Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack presided over the function. Dr. G.A.K. Kumar coordinated the programme under the guidance of Dr. B. Mondal, Head, SSD. About 65 participants have joined the webinar.
