ICAR-NRRI organized 56th meeting of Town Official Language Implementation Committee

The 56th meeting of Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Cuttack was held on 29 May 2023 at the ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack. Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director, ICAR-NRRI and Chairman of TOLIC, Cuttack presided over the meeting. Shri Manoj Kumar Patel, Principal General Manager, BSNL and Head, Hindi Teaching Scheme, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, Cuttack was the Guest of Honor of this meeting. At present, 83 Central Government offices located in Cuttack city have registered as member offices under TOLIC, Cuttack. A total of 22 representatives from various member offices participated in this meeting.
Shri V. Ganesh Kumar, Senior Administrative Officer, ICAR-NRRI welcomed the guests and representatives of the member offices present in the meeting and discussed the importance and necessity of organizing TOLIC meeting. The Director, NRRI discussed about the key points of the minutes of the 55th meeting of TOLIC and presented the agenda of the 56th TOLIC meeting and emphasized for compliance of the Official Language Policy. Addressing the gathering, Dr. A.K. Nayak in his address emphasized mostly on the unity and interactive communication among all the member offices. He said that all of us together can pave the way for the better implementation of official language. The Director discussed in detail with the heads of the member offices for the achievement of the goals set in the annual program for 2023-24 by the Department of Official Language. He said that “TOLIC have a major role in the smooth implementation of the Official Language Policy of the Union”. He deliberated upon the issues related to the implementation of official language being faced by the representatives of various member offices in their respective offices.
The Guest of Honor Shri Manoj Kumar Patel elaborated about the progress made regarding the training of personnel in the Hindi teaching scheme during the year. He also urged all the member offices to unite and ensure the progressive use of Hindi. Shri B.K. Mohanty, Hindi Translator proposed vote of thanks.
