Training under E-CHASI project (EAP-359) on 6th March, 2024
An Exposure visit-cum-Training Programme on Climate Smart Rice Production Practice was organized on 6 March 2024 at ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack under E-CHASI (Enhancing Resilience of Smallholders to Climate Change through Sustainable Intensification and Digital driven Knowledge Dissemination) project. Around fifty progressive farmers and farmwomen from village Sahada and Rajualibindha of Dist – Bhadrak participated in this event. Farmers were imparted training on improved nutrient management practices, direct seeded rice and farm mechanization. Information about using the digital tools and information technology for real time information of agricultural sector was provided to the farmers. Farmers were made aware about the benefit of Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) and encouraged for registration of FPO. Farmers also shared their experiences in relation to different technologies intervened by ICAR-NRRI at the project sites. Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director, ICAR-NRRI & Principal Investigator of the E-CHASI, project emphasized on the impact assessment through farmers’ feedback and insisted on devising package of intervention accordingly.
