Training cum Demonstration program on CRRI biofertilizer model was organized at Ranajhali village of Ganjam District 

Training cum Demonstration on CRRI biofertilizer model to farming community of Odisha was organized at Ranajhali village of Ganjam District under the project Jaivaposhak (ଜୈବ-ପୋଷକ) on 06.02.2025. Dr. Upendra Kumar, is the Principal Investigator of this innovative project. This innovative project is funded by Department of Agriculture Farmers Welfare (DAFE), Govt. of Odisha with emphasis on popularisation of eco-friendly biofertilizers among farmers to replace harmful chemical fertilizers which pose severe threats to environment and gradually deteriorates the soil health. This program was coordinated by Dr. Dr. Dibyendu Chatterjee, Senior Scientist from ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack. He explained the benefits of using biofertilizer, NRRI Endo-N to replace harmful chemical fertilizers along with its demonstration in vegetables crops and has also elaborated on the importance of Trichoderma as biofertilizer in pulses and demonstrated in the black gram. An advantage of NRRI-Tech Decomposer was explained to the farmers by Dr. Sai Krishna Repalli, Research Associate of the project followed by practical demonstration in rice straw. The project staff have also facilitated the program, where a total number of 72 farmers have participated and benefitted from this program. Mrs. Anita Pradhan, Sarpanch was also present in the program.
