Training cum Demonstration program on CRRI biofertilizer model was organized at Rajualibindha village of Bhadrak District
Training cum Demonstration on CRRI biofertilizer model to farming community of Odisha was organized at Rajualibinda village of Bhadrak District under the project Jaivaposhak (ଜୈବ-ପୋଷକ) on 04.02.2025. Dr. Upendra Kumar, is the Principal Investigator of this innovative project funded by Govt. of Odisha with emphasis on popularisation of eco-friendly biofertilizers among farmers to replace harmful chemicals fertilizers. This program was coordinated by Dr. Sudipta Paul, Senior Scientist from ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack. He emphasized on Jaiva Poshak (ଜୈବ-ପୋଷକ) project & economic aspects of biofertilizers. External resource person Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mohanty, Senior Scientist & Head from KVK-Bhadrak were present. He has elaborated on the importance of Trichoderma as biofertilizer in Blackgram along with the practical demonstration. Advantages of NRRI-Tech Decomposer was explained to the farmers by Dr. Sai Krishna Repalli, Research Associate of the project which was followed by practical demonstration of NRRI-Tech Decomposer to decompose rice straw into valuable compost. He also emphasized on use of NRRI biofertilizers, NRRI EndoN & NRRI EndoNPK which can compensate the N P K requirements by 25% there by decreasing input costs on chemical fertilizers by farmers without compromising yield & safe- guarding soil health followed by environmental protection. Project staff have facilitated the program, where a total number of 105 farmers & farm women have participated and benefitted from this program.
