PM Kisan Utsav Diwas Celebration
On the occasion of release of 17th instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, a programme was Jointly organised by Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, Odisha and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack at ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack on 18 June 2024. Sri Suresh Pujari, Hon’ble Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management, Govt. of Odisha, Hon’ble MLA, Baramaba, Sj. Bijay Kumar Dalabehera; Hon’ble MLA, Cuttack Sadar, Sj. Prakash Chandra Sethi; Hon’ble MLA, Niali, Sj. Chhabi Malik, Sri Arindam Dakua, Collector and District Magistrate of Cuttack were present in the programme. Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director, ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack and Heads of various line departments participated in programme. More than 400 farmers and staff of NRRI, Cuttack and different state departments attended the programme. Guests and participants witnessed the release of instalment by Hon’ble Prime Minister in a function held at Varanasi through online mode. All the guests advocated for the progress of the farming community so that our state and nation will flourish by their economic upliftment, cold storage and other infrastructure support along with capacity building of the farmers and grassroot level extension workers. Shri Ashok Kumar Kar, CDAO, Cuttack and Dr. Ranjan Kumar Mohanta, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Cuttack coordinated the event.
