Implications of technologies in current agribusiness scenario & their scope in agripreneurship
In order to promote entrepreneurship, a five days training “Technology based Entrepreneurship Development Program” was organized by Agribusiness Incubation (ABI) Centre, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack from 15th to 19th January, 2024. Fourteen potential entrepreneurs from different parts of the state participated in the programme. Scientists, successful agri-preneurs were invited as resource persons & discussed the roles of technologies in bio-fertilizer production, commercial production of mushrooms, sustainable utilization of rice straw etc. Along with lectures, the entrepreneurs had field visits. The valedictory function was held on 19th January, 2024 under the Chairmanship of Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack in the presence of Dr R. Bardoloi, Principal Scientist, ICAR-ATARI, Zone VII and Dr. G.A.K. Kumar, Head, Social Sciences Division, ICAR-NRRI. Dr. N.N. Jambhulkar, Course Director welcomed all the dignitaries, participants & other audiences. Dr. G.A.K. Kumar briefed about the training program. Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack stressed the need of technology for the advancement of entrepreneurs in the future. Technological advancements enable entrepreneurs to establish global connections with suppliers, clients, and partners. In a dynamic and competitive world, he urged the participants to embrace technology improvements as a means of propelling their entrepreneurial operations forward. The program was coordinated by Dr. Abdul Akbar & Mrs. Shruti Snata Panda. Dr. N.N. Jambhulkar concluded the program with a vote of thanks.
