ICAR-NRRI’s Innovative Training Program on NRRI Liquid Biofertilizer as Alternative to Use of Urea

A training cum demonstration program has been organized at Ranjhali, Purushottampur, Ganjam on 11 March 2024 to aware farmers on use of NRRI liquid biofertilizer as a promising alternative to Urea. The training was graced by Mrs. Anita Pradhan, Scientist, Dr. Upendra Kumar and Dr. P.C. Jena from ICAR- National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack explained and demonstrated the unique technology developed. The event, titled ‘Application of Liquid biofertilizer of Rhizospheric and Endophytic Nitrogen fixing Bacteria’ for enhancing nitrogen use efficiency in rice and saving chemical fertilizer. This training is funded by E-CHASI under OIIPCRA, State Govt. of Odisha.
The programme was attended by more than 60 farmers from Ranjhali village, Purushottampur block, Ganjam. The training programme focused on the challenges in using chemical fertilizers, cost-effective methods to manage soil health and increasing crop yields.
