ICAR-NRRI sports contingent participated in the ICAR Inter-Zonal Sports Tournament-2022 organized by ICAR-NDRI, Karnal
ICAR-NRRI sports contingent participated in the ICAR Inter-Zonal Sports Tournament-2022 organized by ICAR-NDRI, Karnal during 9th to 12th September 2023 with Dr. B.C. Marndi as the Chef De Mission and Shri C.P. Murmu as the Team Manager of the 42-member sports Contingent. ICAR-NRRI participated in four team events viz., Kabaddi, Cricket, Football and Volleyball Shooting and five individual events viz., Men’s Javelin throw, men’s discus throw, women’s javelin throw, Men’s Carrom and Women’s long jump in the inter-zonal sports tournament-2022 with great sporting spirit and discipline. In the team events, ICAR-NRRI made history by becoming the inter-zonal champion of inaugural Cricket tournament and also triumphed in men’s kabaddi for the 15th consecutive year in a row. Ms. Saraswati Bhoi won silver in Women’s Javelin throw. On 18th September, CDM Dr B C Marndi handed over the flag to Honorable Director Dr. A.K. Nayak in a Flag handing over ceremony.
