ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack Organizes Health Check-Up and Special Session on ‘Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskar Swachhata’ as part of Swachhata Hi Sewa-2024
On September 26, 2024, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack organized a health check-up as part of the “Swachhata Hi Sewa-2024” initiative, with the theme “Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskar Swachhata.” Twenty-two sanitation workers and ten gardening staff participated in health assessments led by Dr. D.S. Acharya, Medical Officer and Mr. A.K. Nayak, Pharmacist, NRRI Dispensary, who monitored vital health parameters and provided free medical advice and medications. Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director of the Institute highlighted the importance of maintaining good health to enhance work performance. Later, Dr. Nayak delivered a talk on various aspects of cleanliness, emphasizing physical, psychological, spiritual, verbal, personal, environmental, and digital hygiene. He urged staff to practice physical and internal cleanliness and adhere to punctuality and discipline. During the session, Dr. S.D. Mohapatra, Head, Crop Protection Division and Coordinator of SHS 2024, highlighted the recognition the institute received from authorities during RCM-II. He also emphasized the growing importance of “digital Swachhata” in today’s increasingly digital world, stressing the need for maintaining cleanliness not only in physical spaces but also in our digital lives.
