ICAR – NRRI, Cuttack organized 5-daystraining programme on “Advanced Rice Production Technologies”

The ICAR- National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack organised a 5-days training programme on “Advanced Rice Production Technologies for 25 farmers and 5 Agricultural Officers from Begusarai district of Bihar during 10th -14th June, 2024. The programme was sponsored by ATMA-Begusarai. The training programme commenced with an inaugural session chaired by Dr. A. K. Nayak, Director, NRRI on 10th June, 2024. The Director in his inaugural address enlightened the participants about the importance of the training and inspired them to adopt new technologies to gain more profit. The farmers were exposed to different innovative and recent technologies in rice production, advanced implements, and IFS model, which were highly appreciated by them. The sessions were prepared keeping in view the land situation, and the need and availability of resources of the participants, so they found it suitable and interesting.
The programme ended with a valedictory function, certificate and seed mini kit (CR-Dhan-206) distribution on 14th June, 2024. Dr S. Paul, Sr. Scientist, SSD was the Course Director of the programme.
