ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack conducts series of training programmes on “Rice Insect Pest Management with special reference to Brown Plant Hopper”
A series of training programmes on “Rice Insect Pest Management with special reference to Brown Plant Hopper” was organized by the ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttackduring 11-13 December 2022 for 37 progressive farmers from Cuttack district, during 19-21 December 2022 for 24 progressive farmers from Dhenkanal districtand during 26-28 December 2022 for 32 progressive farmers from Kendrapada district.The programme was sponsored byRKVY, Govt. of Odisha, under EAP-369. On this occasion, Dr.A.K. Nayak, Director, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack chaired the inauguration and valedictory functions and addressed the farmers about the significance of timely insect pest management in rice fields. The programmes included practical demonstration of pesticide application, visit to pesticide residue laboratory, bio-control laboratory andOryza museum. Dr. P.C. Rath and Dr.G.P.Pandi G were the Course Directors, and Dr. S. Raghu S, Dr.Rupak Jena, Dr. N.K.B.Patil, Dr.Basana Gowda G, Dr.Prabhukarthikeyan S.R. and Mr. Jeevan B were the Course Co-ordinators of this training programmes.
