Honoring the adoption of the Constitution of India,
75th Republic Day Celebrations at ICAR-NRRI Campus
The National Rice Research Institute (NRRI) observed the 75th Republic Day at its main campus to commemorate the promulgation of the Indian Constitution. This year’s jubilation embraced the theme of “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) and “Bharat – Loktantra ki Matruka” (India – Mother of Democracy), encapsulate the aspirations and democratic ethos of the nation”. Dr. A.K. Nayak, the Director of ICAR-NRRI, paid homage to valiant liberation fighters and unfurled the precious National Flag, a symbol of our unity and sovereignty.
In his address to the institute’s staff and students, Dr. Nayak evoked the cherished history of our nation’s hard-fought liberation from the clutches of British rule. He paid tribute to the resolute freedom fighters whose indomitable courage gifted us the precious legacy of democracy. He acknowledged the institute’s profound contributions to nation-building through its pioneering work in rice research and the betterment of farmers’ lives. NRRI continues to lead the charge in agricultural research and welfare, it stands as a beacon of progress in our relentless pursuit of a brighter tomorrow.
