Field Day cum training program for Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) & Progressive Farmers on adaptation of CRRI Biofertilizer model at Puri District on 05.05.2025
“Field Day cum training program for Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) & Progressive Farmers on adaptation of CRRI Biofertilizer model” was organised at Sandhara Sasan village, Satyabadi block, Puri district on 05.05.2025 under the innovative project “ Production, Popularization and Supply of Quality Bioinoculants in Rice Based Cropping and Farming System in Odisha” Jaivaposhak (ଜୈବ-ପୋଷକ) funded by DAFE, Govt. of Odisha. Dr. Upendra Kumar Senior Scientist of CRRI, is the Principal Investigator of this innovative project. This program was moderated by the progressive farmer Sri Sanatan Behera. Dr. Suryanarayana Mishra, Sr. Scientist & Head KVK Puri & Dr. Sarthak Pattanayak, Scientist, KVK Puri were the resource persons in this program. Dr. Upendra Kumar has emphasized on the applications of CRRI biofertilizer model in Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) & elaborated on the CRRI products Endo N, Endo NPK, Tech Decomposer, Trichoderma and Azolla. Dr. SN Mishra has explained various avenues of improving farmer’s income in IFS & applications of biofertilizers in IFS which will help in improving sustainable farming practices for soil & environmental health. Dr. Sarthak Pattanayak has discussed on the benefits & applications of Trichoderma in pulses & vegetables. Dr. Sai Krishna Repalli, Research Associate of the project have demonstrated NRRI Tech Decomposer in IFS model developed by Sri Sanatan Behera, a progressive farmer of Puri district. This program was facilitated by Ms. Rashmita Rani Rath & other project staffs, where around 52 farmers were benefitted.
