Field Day cum training program for Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) & Progressive Farmers on adaptation of CRRI Biofertilizer model at Dhankanal district on 07.05.25

“Field Day cum training program for Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) & Progressive Farmers on adaptation of CRRI Biofertilizer model” was organised at Korabola Village, Kankadahada Block, Dhenkanal district on 07.05.2025 under the innovative project “Production, Popularization and Supply of Quality Bioinoculants in Rice Based Cropping and Farming System in Odisha”- Jaivaposhak (ଜୈବ-ପୋଷକ) funded by DAFE, Govt. of Odisha. Dr. Upendra Kumar, Senior Scientist of CRRI, is the Principal Investigator of this project. Dr. Arup Kumar Mukherjee, Principal Scientist from CRRI, is Course coordinator of this program. This program is moderated by Sri Asutosh Panda & organised in association with NGO I-Concept Initiative. Dr. AK Mukherjee explained about the importance and benefits of Trichoderma in pulses and vegetables and also focussed on the necessity for the application of biofertilizers in IFS to decrease the input costs of cultivation for sustainable soil and environmental health. Applications of CRRI biofertilizers Endo N, Endo NPK & Tech Decomposer along with Azolla were demonstrated to farmers by Dr. Sai Krishna Repalli, Research Associate of the project. This program was facilitated by the project staff. A total of 46 farmers participated & benefitted from this program which included 16 farm men & 30 farm women respectively. Sri. Anant Charan Behera from Block Horticulture Office has also participated in this program.
