Celebration of International Women’s Day
ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March 2024 with the Theme “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress” at K Ramiah Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Dr. G.A.K.Kumar, Incharge Director, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack. The occasion was graced by Dr. (Mrs) Mayabini Jena, Former Head, Crop Protection Division & Emeritus Scientist, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack as Chief Guest. The Chief Guest in her address emphasized on women empowerment and hinder realization of gender equality. Dr. Kumar in his Presidential address called for gender equalization on all spheres of life for all times. Dr. Golive Prasanthi, Member ICC Cuttack delivered a talk on Role of Internal Complaints Committee (ICC): creating a safe and inclusive work place. Dr.Annie Poonam, Chairperson, Internal Complaints Committee gave a welcome address and Dr. Sangita Mohanty proposed vote of thanks. The programmee was moderated by Dr. Sujata Sethi, SMS KVK, Cuttack. Farmwomen from Institute adopted villages attended the programme and eight among them were felicitated on this occasion. Smt. Jayanti Bhoi deliverd a beautiful poem on women. The programme was attended by the staff members along with the students of ICAR-NRRI hub.
