Celebrating Poshan Maah with Focus on Nutrition and Cultural Heritage at KVK, Koderma, ICAR-NRRI
The concluding ceremony of National Nutrition Month (Poshan Maah) was held at ICAR-NRRI, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Jainagar, Koderma, on 30th September 2024. The Poshan Maah began on 1st September 2024 and ended on 30th September 2024. About sixty Anganwadi Sevikas and Shahikas from different blocks of the Koderma district participated. The focus of the discussions was on the importance of nutrition and the role of cultural heritage in promoting healthy diets. Dr. N.P. Mandal, Principal Scientist & Head, ICAR-NRRI-CRURRS, Hazaribagh, and Nodal Officer of KVK-Koderma, along with Dr. A.K. Rai, Senior Scientist & Head of KVK-Koderma (ICAR-NRRI), and other KVK staff, graced the occasion. The ceremony concluded with a plantation drive, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,” symbolizing care and nourishment, where fruit trees were planted to celebrate the initiative.
