Awareness and demonstration of NRRI-liquid bio-fertilizer model at Jagatsinghpur district
Demonstration of ICAR-NRRI-liquid bio-fertilizer model including NRRI-Endo N, Trichoderma, Tech decomposer and Azolla was organized under the guidance of Dr. Annie Poonam, Principal Scientist at Pipal Madhaba and Purijena villages of Jagatsinghpur district on 12 August 2024, who has emphasized on the benefits of using ecofriendly NRRI-Endo N which can cut down the application of urea by 25% and decrease the input cost on chemical fertilizers. Around 60 farmers along with the project staff have participated in this awareness program. NRRI biofertilizer kit including NRRI-Endo N and the user manual for application in rice fields were distributed among the farmers. This program was facilitated by Dr. Sai Krishna Repalli, Research Associate under the project “Production, Popularization and Supply of Quality Bio-inoculants for Rice-based Cropping and Farming System of Odisha (Bio-ପୋଷକ)” funded by Department of Agriculture & Farmers Empowerment (DAFE), Odisha.
