Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week-2019 

ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack has been observing Vigilance Awareness Week-2019 from 28th October to 2nd November 2019. The theme chosen for this year’s Vigilance Awareness Week is “Integrity – A way of Life”.
Dr Himanshu Pathak, Director, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack administered the “Integrity Pledge” to all the staff of the institute on 28th October 2019.
On 29th October 2019, Grievance redressal meeting related to corruption was organised for the NRRI staff and Pensioners of NRRI. Dr H Pathak, Director, ICAR-NRRI, presided over the meeting. Shri B. K Sahoo, Head of Office welcomed all the guests, staff and pensioners present in the occasion. Dr S. K. Pradhan, Vigilance Officer of the institute explained the objective of observing Vigilance awareness week. Dr A K Nayak, Chairman, VAW-2019 while explaining the corruption and vigilance narrated various activities to be performed in the vigilance awareness week. Sri S K Das, Finance & accounts Officer and Nodal Officer of ICAR-Pension Authorization Unit addressed the details about the redressal of the grievances of the pensioners. Dr Sangram Kesari Nayak, Working President, ICAR Eastern region emphasised the corruption free life and its impact on the society. Dr Pathak in his address highlighted on ethics, truthfulness and discipline in individual He also expressed happiness as no single grievance/complaint was raised in the redressal meeting. The meeting ended with vote of thanks by Dr Prashant Hinjagi to all the members present.
Essay and Debate competition has been conducted among the employee, research scholar and students of the institute on 30th October, 2019 and one special lecture on Integrity-A way of life has been delivered on 31st October, 2019 by Shri S.K.Das, Finance & Accounts Officer of this institute. One more lecture series, debate competition among school students and closing function of the Vigilance Awareness Week is yet to be conducted.
