Capacity Building Programme for FPO Board of Directors at ICAR-NRRI
The ICAR-National Rice Research Institute (NRRI), Cuttack, conducted a two-day training programme on “Capacity Building of Board of Directors (BoDs) of FPOs” from 30th to 31st December 2024. The programme aimed to empower twenty-five potential Board members of Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) from Kandhamal, Koraput, Kalahandi, and Mayurbhanj districts in FPC formation and management. Dr. G.A.K. Kumar engaged participants on the roles and responsibilities of BoDs, while Dr. A.K. Mohanty, Director, ATARI, Umiam underscored the importance of sustainable entrepreneurship through FPOs. The training featured expert sessions from Dr. Tushar Kanta Pany, Professor & Head, School of Commerce Ravenshaw University, Cuttack; Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash, Assistant Professor, Ravenshaw University and Shri Laxman Kumar Paltasingh, Former Project Coordinator, APICOL, Bhubaneswar, offering valuable insights into entrepreneurship and governance.
