“Swachhata Pledge Day” organized at ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack on 16 December, 2024 (under Swachhata Pakhwada-2024 from 16-31 December, 2024)
As per the direction from Secretary, DARE & DG, ICAR, New Delhi; ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack organized “Swachhata Pledge Day” on 16-12-2024 at 11.00 AM as a part of Swachhata Pakhwada-2024. Dr.Srikanta Lenka, Chairman, Institute Swachh Bharat Committee briefed about different day to day activities under Swachhata Pakhwada-2024 (from 16-31 December, 2024) to be organized at the Institute, its residential premises, villages, tourist spots, educational institutions and local markets etc. The Director, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack administered the Swachhata pledge to all the staff members of the Institute. He emphasized on non-use of single use plastics in the Institute campus and `directed all the staff members not to use pan and other tobacco products during the office hours. Also, on this day, swachhata awareness message was spread by the Institute on this day through LED screen kept in the Reception and banners in different locations outside the Institute. In this “Swachhata Pledge meeting” organized at Dr.P.K.Parija Auditorium of the Institute; Heads of the Divisions, Sr.AO, Sr.FAO, Swachh Bharat Committee members, scientists and other staff members were present.
