ICAR-NRRI Excels at ICAR Inter Zonal Sports Tournament
The ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack, demonstrated remarkable sportsmanship at the ICAR Inter Zonal Sports Tournament, hosted by CAZRI, Jodhpur, from October 14 to 17, 2024. The institute’s kabaddi team clinched the Runners-up trophy, showcasing their skill, tenacity, and teamwork. Adding to the institute’s accolades, Dr. Rupak Jena secured an impressive third place in the high jump. This success was steered by the adept leadership of Dr. Guru Prasanna Pandi G, Chief-de-mission, and Mr. R. Behera was the Manager for the 28-member team. Their commitment was celebrated at a flag-handing-over programme chaired by Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director of ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack, on October 30, 2024, in honour of the team’s outstanding achievements at this prestigious event.
