Enhancing Rice Productivity: Five-day Training Programme Successfully Concluded at ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack

A five-day training programme on “Improved Package of Practices for Enhancing Rice Productivity and Profitability” sponsored by the ATMA, Darbhanga, Bihar was organized by ICAR – National Rice Research Institute (NRRI), Cuttack during 2-5 September, 2024. The programme was attended by 23 farmers and two Agricultural Officers from Darbhanga district of Bihar. It aimed to provide participants with scientific knowledge to enhance rice productivity and profitability. The valedictory session was chaired by Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director of ICAR-NRRI, who highlighted sustainable rice farming amidst climate change. Dr. B. Mondal, Head, SSD emphasized the importance of innovation and adaptation in modern agriculture. Dr. N.N. Jambhulkar, welcomed the participants, while Dr. S. Paul, expressed gratitude to all involved in his proposal of vote of thanks. Such initiatives underscore the critical role of innovation and adaptation in modern day agriculture. Dr. N.N. Jambhulkar, Dr S. Paul, Senior Scientists, SSD were the Course Directors of the training programme.
