On May 3, 2024, ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack, organized a seminar on Intellectual Property Management. This significant event aimed to focus the crucial role of intellectual property rights within the agricultural sector. Dr. Nagesh Kumar Barik, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIFA, Bhubaneswar, delivered a talk on this occasion. Dr. Barik’s shared valuable insights into the significance of intellectual property rights within the agricultural sector. Through exploring the nuances of patenting innovations to understanding the intricacies of IP management strategies, participants had the opportunity to delve into critical aspects of safeguarding intellectual assets. This platform offered a space for fruitful discussions and knowledge exchange, empowering attendees with the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of IP management effectively.
Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack gave his presidential remarks. At the outset, Dr. G.A.K. Kumar, Head, SSD and I/c Institute Technology Management Unit (ITMU) welcomed the Chairman, the guest speaker and other participants and briefed about the objectives of the programme.
