Training under E-CHASI project (EAP-359) on 1st March, 2024

An Exposure visit-cum-Training Programme on Climate Smart Agricultural Practices for Enhancing Resilience in Rice Cultivation was organized on 1st March, 2024 at ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack. Around fifty progressive farmers from village Ranjhali and Paliama, block-Purushottampur, Dist – Ganjam participated in this Exposure visit-cum-Training Programme. Farmers were exposed to the climate smart modern agricultural practices for enhancing production and profitability. Information about using the digital tools and information technology for real time information of agricultural sector was provided to the farmers. Farmers interacted with NRRI scientists on different farming activities. Farmers were also updated about the benefit of Farmer Producer Organization and were encouraged for registration of FPO. Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director, NRRI & Principal Investigator of the project presided over the function and Dr. Anjani Kumar, Course Director of the training program briefed about the different ongoing project activities. In the valedictory function, participants expressed their views about the need of adopting climate smart agricultural practices under the changing climate scenario. They also emphasized to organize such Exposure visit-cum-training programme in future also for making them aware about CSA practices.
