Director, ICAR- NRRI, Cuttack visited Regional Coastal Rice Research Station, Naira, Andhra Pradesh
Dr. A. K. Nayak, Director, ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack, along with Dr. M. J. Baig, Head, Physiology and Biochemistry Division, visited Regional Coastal Rice Research Station (RCRRS), Naira on 14th November, 2023. Dr. B. B. Panda, Head, RCRRS, Naira extended a warm welcome and presented an overview of the research and development activities carried out in the current year.
Dr. A. K. Nayak interacted with the scientists and enquired about the research initiatives undertaken by individual scientists, offering suggestions for further enhancement of the program. During the visit, Dr. Nayak inspected the construction site for the Regional station at Naira and advised the Head of the Regional station to expedite the construction of boundaries. He approved the construction of a farm shed at the station during the current financial year. He also visited the Agriculture College, Naira and discussed with Dr. D. Srinivas, Associate Dean regarding the land registration and the fencing of boundaries of the Regional station. Dr. Nayak’s visit served as an inspiration and motivation for the scientists and staff of the Regional Coastal Rice Research Station, Naira, Andhra Pradesh.
