Blood Donation Camp
Blood Donation Camp was organized at ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day on 14 June 2023 in collaboration with Central Red Cross Blood Bank, Odisha State Branch. Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director of the institute reiterated the importance of Day and administered the World Blood Donor Day pledge to staff of NRRI.
On this occasion, a total number of 51 persons comprising the staff, students and field staff as well as family members of the staff members donated blood with much enthusiasm and solidarity. The camp was coordinated by Dr. P.S. Hanjagi, Nodal Officer, World Blood Donor Day Programme under the supervision of Shri C.P. Murmu, Sr. AO (I/c) and Shri R.K. Singh, F&AO with able guidance and encouragement by the Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director of the institute. A team of around 10 members including the health professionals, from the Central Red Cross Blood Bank, Cuttack was present and took all measures to make the event flawless. The Director also acknowledged the services of the volunteers and the staff side members of Institute Joint Staff Council (IJSC) with special mention to the efforts put in by Shri B. Pradhan, Secretary (Staff side) and Shri P.K. Jena, Member (CJSC) in this noble cause and to make the event a grand success.
