Training Programme on Farmer Producer Company at ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack
ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack has organized a three-day training programme on “Business Orientation Training on Farmer Producer Company (FPC) Formation and its Management” for the potential Board of Directors of the Farmer Producer Companies from Kandhamal, Koraput, Kalahandi and Mayurbhanj district during 18-20 March, 2023. Thirty-six trainees were participated in the programme on formation and management of FPC. Dr. J.P. Bisen and Dr. M. Chakraborti were the Course Director of the training programme. During the valedictory programme, Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack interacted with the participants and advised them to form FPOs as soon as possible and produce small grain aromatic rice for export to different countries. Dr. Nayak emphasized that through this practice the income of the farmers will be doubled. The programme ended with a vote of thanks to the chair by Dr. G.A.K. Kumar, PI of the project. Earlier, Dr. B. Mondal, Head, SSD welcomed the participants.
