Capacity building program to Board of Directors (BODs) of five Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) under the central sector scheme on Formation & Promotion of 10000 FPOs was organised from 19-20 Oct, 2022 at ICAR-National Rice Research Institute (NRRI), Cuttack. Board of Directors from five Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) including Dhamnagar 4S4R Farmer Producer Company Limited (FPCL), Tihidi 4S4R FPCL from Bhadrak district and Pipili 4S4R FPCL from Puri district along with two societies Purva Baleswar 4S4R FPO and Upakula Balasore 4S4R FPO from Balasore district are trained during this program.
ICAR-NRRI as a Cluster Based Business Organization (CBBO) has organised this program under the supervision of Dr.G.A.K.Kumar, Head Social Science Division and project investigator of this project. Experienced faculty from state Agriculture departments along with Ravenshaw, Utkal Universities and bank officials from State Bank of India (SBI) have organised the sessions. This program is supported by National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) and Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) under this project. Thirty Board of Directors from five Farmer Producer Companies have undergone training during this program.
