A yoga session was organized for staffs of ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack and their family members at Dr. H.K. Pandy Jubulee Hall from 7.30 AM to 9:30 AM on 21.06.19 to celebrate 5th International Yoga Day. The session was conducted by Art of Living Yoga instructor Mrs Nisha Gilra. The session started with discourse on Patanjali Yogasutra by the Honorable Director Dr H. Pathak.He emphasized on usefulness of eight components of yoga (Astanga Sutra: Yamas niyama, pranayama pratyāhāra dhāraṇā dhyāna and samādhi) in day to day life. Mrs Nisha Gilra briefed about the ancient yogic practices and their beneficial impacts on body and mind and led participants into series of yogasanas, pranayam and meditation.
The event was also organized at its regional station CRURRS, Hazaribag. A brief report is presented below.
Fifth International Yoga Day was Celebrated on 21st June 2019 at CRURRS ( ICAR- NRRI), Hazaribag under Chairmanship of Dr. Dipankar Maiti, OIC in which Shree Narendra Vidyarthi Yoga Instructor trained all the staff with different Yoga Ashanas and Pranayam along with their health benefits .In this occasion Dr. Dipankar Maiti , OIC suggested to do yoga every day for healthy life. Further, the OIC requested to the Yoga Instructor for training to the staff for one week. YOG SHIVIR (Yoga Camp ) will be organized from 22nd June to 29th June 2019 in the campus of CRURRS ( ICAR- NRRI), Hazaribag at 6.00 am to 7.00 am and all the staff have been suggested to attend the same every day.
