Training programme cum Field day on microbial formulations for enhancing nutrient use efficiency in rice was organized at Paliama village of Ganjam District under the project ‘Enhancing resilience of smallholders to climate change through sustainable intensification and digital driven knowledge dissemination (E-CHASI)’ on 11.03.2025. Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director, ICAR-CRRI, is the Principal Investigator of this project which is funded by Govt. of Odisha. Dr. Upendra Kumar, Senior Scientist coordinated the programme and emphasized on use of CRRI biofertilizers Endo N & Endo NPK which can compensate the N P K requirements by 25% thereby decreasing input costs on chemical fertilizers. Applications of these microbial formulations to enhance nutrient use efficiency in rice were explained to farmers. Dr. Prakash Chandra Jena, Senior Scientist interacted with the farmers, while Mr. Manoj Rajak, along with other project staff have facilitated the programme. A total of 150 farmers & farm women participated and benefitted from the programme.
