The 45th Institute Research Council (IRC) Meeting of ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack
The 45th Meeting of the Institute Research Council (IRC) was held at the institute from 20–22 May 2025 under the Chairmanship of Dr. M.J. Baig, Director and Chairman, IRC. The meeting aimed to review the research achievements of 2024–25 and finalize the work plan for 2025–26. In the opening session, Dr. Biswajit Mondal, Secretary, IRC, welcomed the Director, all IRC members, and scientists who joined the meeting both physically and virtually and presented the last year’s report. The Director extended a warm welcome to the External Experts and provided an overview of the institute’s ongoing research programmes, key achievements, and recognitions during 2024–25. External experts in the respective fields attended the meeting were: Dr. K.K. Jena (Programme-1), Dr. K.K. Rout (Programme-2 & 6), Dr. Birinchi Kumar Sarma (Programme-3), Dr. R.K. Sarkar (Programme-4), and Dr. S.K. Rout (Programme-5). A total of 35 projects under six research programmes were presented by the respective Principal Investigators. Each project was thoroughly reviewed and discussed through detailed observations and interactive sessions with IRC members and experts. The Heads of Divisions/Research Stations coordinated the presentations in their roles as programme leaders. A dedicated business session was also conducted with the participation of administrative personnel. The meeting concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Biswajit Mondal, Secretary, IRC.
