Training Programme on “Processing technologies” organized at ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack

Training Programme on “Processing technologies for utilization of rice by-products-A sustainable approach for income generation” was organized by ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack from 15 to 17 February 2023. Twenty students from Gandhi Institute for Technology (GIFT), Bhubaneswar, Odisha have participated in the programme.The programme was sponsored by RKVY project (under EAP-272). The programme was sponsored by RKVY, Govt. of Odisha, under the project EAP-369. On this occasion, Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director, of the institute inaugurated the programme on 15 February 2023 as well as distributed certificates during the valedictory functions on 17 February 2023. The programmes included practical demonstration of utilization of rice husk for energy generation, extraction technology of rice bran oil, rice straw utilization, visit to grain quality laboratory and Oryza museum. Dr. Supriya Priyadarsani, Scientist, CPD was the Course Director and Dr. B. Mondal, Principal Scientist & Head Social Science Division, Dr. Prakash Jena, Senior Scientist, CPD are the Course Coordinators of the programme.
