NRRI scientist received prestigious membership of Indian National Young Academy of Sciences (INYAS)

NRRI scientist Dr. Dibyendu Chatterjee (Crop Production Division) received prestigious membership of Indian National Young Academy of Sciences (INYAS) for a period of 5 years beginning February 2022 (https://inyas.in/). According to the facebook page of INYAS (https://www.facebook.com/INYAS-1662728413946122), a total of 22 members were selected from 237 applications (success rate is 9%). Dr. Chatterjee, the only representative of ICAR institutes in the list, was selected based on his notable credentials and commitment to service to society through Science. It is worthy to mention that INYAS is the young wing of Indian National Science Academy (INSA) and involved in “giving a voice to young scientists at the National level” by giving a platform to exchange ideas across disciplines, encourage discussions on scientific topics, enhance collaborations among the scientists and contribute to spreading of science in the society. Last year, Dr. Kutubuddin Ali Molla, a scientist from Crop Improvement Division, was also selected for this prestigious membership.
