Closing Ceremony of Vigilance Awareness Week 

ICAR-NRRI has observed the Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW)-2019 from 28th October to 2nd November 2019 on the theme “Integrity – A way of life.” The observance week was commenced with administering the “Integrity Pledge” by all the staff members on the opening day of the week. A joint meeting of staff members and pensioners was held on 29th October, 2019 to redress their grievances. During the period, essay and debate competition of staff members and students of nearby schools was organized on different topics related to integrity and corruption. Sri S.K. Das, F&AO, NRRI, delivered special lectures on the topic “Integrity – A way of Life” and “Preventive Vigilance”. Dr Sutapa Sarkar and Dr Prashanta Hinjagi coordinated the various activities and closing function of the VAW-2019.
Shri S. K. Priyadarsi, IPS and Inspector General (Police) graced the occasion as chief guest on the closing function on 4th November, 2019. Sri B.K. Sahoo, Head of Office welcomed all the guests, staff members and students present on the occasion. Sri S.K. Pradhan, Vigilance Officer categorically mentioned about the improvement of the Institute due to corruption free administration. Sri S.K .Das, F&AO emphasized on regular monitoring and proper administrative control for curbing the corruption in the organization. Chief Guest awarded the prizes to the winners of various competition.
Addressing the gathering, chief guest Sri Priyadarsi highly appreciated the commendable activities of the Institute for improvement of ethical standard and integrity of the staff members.
Dr. H. Pathak, Director in his address expressed his satisfaction on the performance of the administration and emphasised to maintain honesty and integrity and follow moral and ethical standards in the way of life. Dr M. Shahid offered vote of thanks to the guests, staff members, students and members of the organizing committee.
